This is a very good product for alternative seating. You can move it easily from room to room. It can be used as a seat or an ottoman. Kids and adults alike are in love with it. Even a large sized adult can sit on it comfortably. The kids like to flop on it and tumble around, etc. They try and do that on regular furniture and I'm always worried they will injure themselves. If you have little ones that can't sit still, this is perfect for them. I sit on it together with my five year old watching movies and we are both comfy & it's a nice snuggle time. I can see it being used in a dorm setting, new apartment if you are starting out with no furniture, playroom, bedroom... you name it! I have purchased two of the junior 3 foot and am now saving up to add a four foot to our collection. Now, the filling is nothing like a bean bag chair and it's not solid like a hassock. I would probably say it's more like an overgrown fluffy pillow or I believe they call them foof chairs? Little ones will likely have some tipping for a couple of days until they get used to it. IT IS NOT A "SOLID" SEAT HOWEVER IT IS CUTE, COMFORTABLE and FUN. It is vac sealed in the package so it expands when you open it. (Don't be alarmed by the hissing sound!) It comes with a removable cover, which you have to put on when you take it out of the box. It's very simple and quick to toss it right on, absolutely no struggle. It's good to know you can take the cover off to launder when needed. Cold wash, line dry. The inside also has a little zippered portion where I figure if it ever does seem to lose stuffing or go flat, you could add more in. I did purchase this from amazon at a considerable discount. If paying list price, I would probably aim for the larger one to really feel I was getting my money's worth.
